ArtCade
The intention of the festival “Artcade – Culture Of Games” is to present GameArt projects a classic art audience and a broad local public. Furthermore, these projects are to be shown not only in the current exhibition context but in the semi-public space to generate more users for this art genre. In addition, a different approach to games is made possible, so that is a new, artistic perspective in the context of computer games for the recipient. We present projects that deal with the media critically, use Game technologies for art production or simply very beautiful Author games with interesting narratives and great aesthetics.
The festival is carried out as part of the project “Kunst im Quartier”. During the festival period, five artistic positions are presented.
